Turkey Travel & Entry Restrictions

Here are the latest information (as of the 6th of September) about Entry requirements to Turkey, Turkey's Travel Restrictions, and Turkey Country specific entry restrictions during the coronavirus (covid19) pandemic. Turkey has become one of the best travel destinations in the world with its unbeatable price/quality ratio. The travel industry started to get back to its normal path in the world. People want to get the advantage of the low prices before the prices get higher.

Although the Turkish economy is dependant on the money that comes with tourism, the Turkish government wants to protect public safety first.

Before we start, we would like to remind you that it's obligatory to fill the entry form to Turkey  72 hours before arriving in the Republic of Turkey. You should keep the HES Code which will be assigned automatically on your entry form to Turkey. You will need the HES Code when you enter closed areas & shopping malls and when you take the bus, flights within Turkey.

What are the Travel Restrictions to Turkey for USA Citizens?

 

Turkey Entry Requirements for USA Citizens?

 

US citizens who can provide a document given by the country's official authorities which shows that they are vaccinated in the last 14 days or recovered from the Covid disease in the last 6 months can enter Turkey without a PCR test or quarantine.

US citizens who can't provide a certificate of Covid19 vaccination or a document that shows that they are recovered from the covid19 disease have to submit a negative PCR test or Rapid antigen test result ( performed within the last 48 hours) in the last 72 hours when entering Turkey.

 

 

 

 

What are the Travel Restrictions to Turkey for Indian Citizens?

 

Turkey Entry Requirements for India Citizens?

 

Persons from Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan will be required to submit a negative PCR test result maximum 72 hours prior to entry.

If the persons come directly from Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan or if the persons have been in these countries in the last 14 days and if the persons prove that they have at least two doses (single dose for Johnson & Johnson) of the vaccines approved by the World Health Organization or Turkey and at least 14 days have passed since the last dose, will be exempted from the quarantine application upon entering the country.

Those who cannot document that they have had at least two doses (single dose for Johnson & Johnson) of the vaccines approved for emergency use by the World Health Organization or Turkey and that at least 14 days have passed since the last dose will be quarantined at their residence or at the address they will declare and will be subjected to PCR testing on the 10th day of the quarantine period.  If the PCR test result on the 10th day is negative, the quarantine will be terminated. Those who do not have a PCR test on the 10th day will be kept in quarantine for 14 days.

 

 

Accordingly, the practice regarding the already suspended flights from Brazil, South Africa, Nepal, and Sri Lanka will continue until a new decision is taken, and direct travel from these countries to Turkey will not be allowed.

People who come from another country, but who are understood to have been in Brazil, South Africa, Nepal, and Sri Lanka in the last 14 days, will be requested to submit a negative PCR test report made maximum 72 hours before entering Turkey, and these people will be quarantined for 14 days in places to be determined by the governorates.

 

 

 

 

What are the Travel Restrictions to Turkey for Russian Citizens?

Russian citizens who can provide a document given by the country's official authorities which shows that they are vaccinated in the last 14 days or recovered from the Covid disease in the last 6 months can enter Turkey without a PCR test or quarantine.

 

Russian citizens who can't provide a certificate of Covid19 vaccination or a document that shows that they are recovered from the covid19 disease have to submit a negative PCR test or Rapid antigen test result ( performed within the last 48 hours) in the last 72 hours when entering Turkey.

 

 

 

What are the Travel Restrictions to Turkey for UK Citizens?

 

Turkey Entry Requirements for UK Citizens?

 

People who arrive from the United Kingdom should submit a negative PCR test result performed within the last 72 hours (vaccinated or not) when entering Turkey.

 

The same requirements are valid for passengers who arrive in Turkey from Egypt, Singapore, and Iran.

 

 

Passengers from all other countries which we did not mention above who have a vaccine passport (that shows the vaccination within the last 6 months), or a document which proves the recovery from covid19 disease (also within the last 6 months) can enter Turkey without Restriction.

 

 

 

Entry Requirements for Turkey for All the Other Countries

 

Those who certify that they have received at least two doses (single dose for Johnson & Johnson) of the vaccines approved by the WHO or Turkey at all border gates from other countries and who document that at least 14 days have passed since the last dose will be exempt from quarantine measures.

 

Starting from the 28th day of the first positive test result, PCR/rapid antigen test report with a negative result will not be requested and quarantine measures will not be applied for those who submit a document issued by the relevant country's official authorities that they have had the disease in the last 6 months.

 

 

Entry requirements to Turkey for Children

 

Children under the age of 12 will be exempted from submitting a vaccination certificate or a PCR/Antigen test report when they enter Turkey.
